Tell Me You Are Motivated After This Article

Well.. Motivation can mean a lot of things. Personally I believe I am a motivated person when I want to be. Yes it is like a flicker of a switch.. You can turn it off or on. That’s how life works to me at least.. I mean if I want to do something what’s stopping me? I want to wake up the next morning thinking that I am an intelligent individual who is capable of anything as long as I set my mind to it. I hope you take that into mind.

 

Here are just a few ways to help you get motivated.. Think about them and then remind yourself.

Find That Inspiration– Are you passionate about something? Do you have that dream profession? Do you have that goal you have always wanted to complete? Think about it everyday, Remind yourself and get crazy about it, remind yourself that you will do whatever it takes to get there. Once you have found this, you can be motivated.

Build Anticipation/Reason– This is huge. This is your MOTIVATION. Lets go back to our Inspiration. So let’s say you want to reach up to that one goal of yours what is it going to take? It is going to take anticipation. Remind yourself why you are being motivated, think of the end goal. No I am going to skip out on dessert tonight because I am trying to eat healthy. Yes, I will wake up at 6am tomorrow because I am training for my season.. remind yourself.

Obtain Support– Without any support it will be hard. I am not telling you to get the whole world to support you.. that would be lovely but a family member or two will do.. maybe a couple of friends? Tell them and talk to them about what you are trying to do. I’m sure they will support you and if not…Don’t get upset, don’t get overly angry.. relax and take a breather and teach your yourself…

Learn to Accept Failure/Rejection In A Proper Manners You will have support don’t worry but you may have some people be hard on you, maybe they don’t believe in you as much as you would want them too? Right? So turn it around. Well I can’t wait to see your faces when I achieve that dream etc.. Tell yourself! Failure…Obstacles.. These are just walls that will get in your way. Go around them. Find a way.

Think About It Everyday- Remind yourself everyday the sacrifices you make and the hard work you are doing in order to achieve this goal. Most importantly, remind yourself of the goal. Tell yourself everyday this is what I need to do etc.. the steps.

It Will Go Away- Okay it’s hard to be motivated every single day for the rest of your life. It will come to you then it may drift away but then it will come back. In those days where you feel less motivated relax.. don’t give up… positive thoughts only! Stick with it.

Believe– You have to believe that you are capable of whatever it is you want to do. This is the first step. How do you expect others to have faith in you if you don’t! It starts from you. You can do it.

These are just a few things I do to stay motivated for any goals that I am trying to achieve. Read carefully and try to understand and follow it! I hope this does help you.

 

 

 

 

Popular Toronto Mayor Ford Diagnosed With “rare” Cancer?

Living in Toronto all last year I heard the name “Rob Ford”  a lot.. Then I spoke to a couple and asked their opinions. I was just sitting there while friends discussed their thoughts.. it got heated but it was funny! Everyone wants a good Mayor. The right man to run the job.

Rob Ford has had an interesting campaign and now onto Doug Ford, his younger brother on the mayoral ballot last week, just days after the tumour was first discovered.

“Rob has always been so strong for all of us and now I ask us all to be strong for him. Your kind words and well wishes mean everything to him right now. Rob will beat this,” Ford said.

Cohen said they are “optimistic” about treating this particular type of cancer — pleomorphic liposarcoma — and that it is the most “sensitive” to chemotherapy.

In the next 48 hours, Ford will begin two rounds of chemotherapy, each to last three days followed by 18 days of a “washout” period. After doctors examine the tumour again, they will decide whether more chemotherapy is needed or if surgery is required, Cohen said.

Sad news for Ford’s family and hope treatment does go well.

A Few New Things iOS8 Will Offer

Apple fans are highly anticipating the new iPhone6 .. let alone the new software upgrade iOS8 which is now downloadable. I personally have an Android so going through these updates were interesting! Will they really have a huge effect? Well let’s see.

Health App– The new HealthKit app offers users a dashboard that gathers personal health and fitness information on the devices, ranging from medical histories to fitness and diet information.

iCloud Drive– Apple says iCloud Drive will give users that chance to “work with the document of your choice on the device of your choice. “Spreadsheets, presentations, PDFs, images and any other kind of document will be accessible from devices including iPhones, iPads, Macs and PCs.

Continuity-  Apple says its products have “always been designed to work together beautifully.”But iOS 8 promises much more in that department, including the ability for a user writing an email on one device to finish it off on another. “You can pass things back and forth,” says Bearse. “You can answer a phone call on your Mac if your phone’s in your bag or charging upstairs.

It Could Be Back To School For Kids- B.C. Teachers’ strike

A tentative deal has been settled in the months-long B.C. public school teachers’ strike, this means  teachers could vote to end their strike on Thursday and students could be back in class by early next week.

The breakthrough in negotiations between the B.C. Teachers’ Federation and the B.C. Public School Employers’ Association comes on the fourth day of marathon talks at a Richmond, B.C., hotel.

“Sources have since confirmed the length of the proposed deal and told CBC News the pay increases are in line with other public sector workers in the seven to eight per cent range”

The tentative agreement is is to resolve grievances regarding class size. There will also be an increase to the governments learning improvement fund.

Wake Up Everyday And Appreciate- Ebola Outbreak

While we are enjoying our lives attending school, going out for lunch, hanging out with friends etc.. We don’t have a look on what is happening around the world.

Let’s take a look at what is happening in in West Africa,

More than $1bn (£618m) is needed to fight the West Africa Ebola outbreak, which is a health crisis “unparalleled in modern times”, UN officials say. Released this morning.

Ebola has killed 2,461 people this year, half of those infected the World Organization said.
The virus has infected at least 4,985 people so far and spreading..

The symptoms include high fever, bleeding and central nervous system damage. Mortality outbreak rate is at 55% and it is spread by body fluids, such as blood and saliva.

There is currently no proven vaccine or cure for Ebola.

Lets take a moment to be grateful of what we have and pray for those who are in danger!

How To Survive In The Kitchen

A kitchen job is not as easy as it looks. Imagine a Friday or Saturday night when you have a restaurant full of customers ordering food.. remember the food has to be perfect and you have bill times to deliver. Of course everyone makes mistakes however you need to try your best and deliver perfection every time.

I am not a Head Chef nor a restaurant manager however I am writing this article from an incredible expierence I had at my previous job which was a cook at Earls. I am a person who believes that as long as you learn the lessons from anything, you will be successful at it.

Here is what I stuck too in my time and I assure you it gets very fun!

1) Stay Calm and Relaxed- You will have brutal days. Food will run late, customers will be upset and this will cause a lot of tension between you and your fellow cooks. At this point would you want someone yelling in your face? I don’t think so.. do your best to remain calm and fix each problem as you go.

2) Do Your Homework (Memorize your recipes)- Yes you need to MEMORIZE your recipes. If you do not take the time to do this I suggest not bothering. Having your recipes memorized will help you be more efficient as well as become a better cook! Make sure you eventually perfect these because you don’t want to be serving wrong dishes..

3) Be Clean And Organized- Cleanliness is VERY important in a kitchen. I don’t think you would want to go to a restaurant where everything is dirty right? Keep your station clean always, during rushes it may get messy but before moving onto another task clean your station first! Organize your station as well to make it more efficient such as an area for finishing, loading etc..

4) Smile- If you’re having a bad day, leave it outside the kitchen and focus on your work. You do what’s asked of you and you don’t complain. It will teach you to be a better worker for the future as well. In a kitchen you do not want to be negative around your fellow workers! Reflect off one another therefore everyone is happy and ready to work together.

5) Communicate- THIS IS KEY. Talk all the time… tell your fellow cook on call “Loading this” “Plating This” Etc… Without this errors will be made and I assure you that is not what you want when you have multiple things to cook and customers waiting for their food. When leaving the line, “Behind” or “Hot pans” You get the point. Work as a TEAM.

6) Watch Your Surroundings- In a kitchen environment their are a lot of dangerous factors and situations you will face so be careful and watch out! Hot pans and sharp knives everywhere while everyone is in fast forward.. Watch out. I indeed received some cuts and burns!

7) Don’t be lazy- WORK. HARD. Being lazy in a kitchen will have you not succeed at all. Look to step on things before they appear and make the next move!

8) Don’t Give Up- Honestly.. I wanted to quit after my first few days but I just told myself I could do it and before you know it you will get adjusted to it and not get frustrated.

9) Lastly, HAVE FUN. Enjoying cooking food for customers and having them praise what they are eating and you can tell yourself I MADE THAT.

Of course their are a lot more things to learn and pay attention to while working in a professional kitchen but I believe these are some of the most important ones!

Either She Forgets You In A Heartbeat or She Never Forgets How You Treated Her

I am not a woman expert or a relationship expert. Just a 19 year old attending university, however I have had my share of experiences and outlook on certain situations in life. I as well have an older sister and this has brought me to how I am. Yes, us men may be hard to understand however one thing I believe is respect and this blog post is to reach out to all the woman! and all the men who are currently in a conflict with their loved one!

I am trying to get some diverse readers here!

So here is how it begins..

Women remember every nice thing you do or say in the same way they remember every pitiless thing. Male and Females think differently, of course we know by now that woman think very differently and will analyze about everything therefore our words and your actions can have effects on a woman that will last her a lifetime. That cruel comment you made about her mother,those times you ignored her for no reason at all, the times you didn’t open the car door for her,

A woman may choose to stay with a man who treats her badly because she fell in love with him during a stage when he was pretending to be pleasant (beginning stages of their relationship). However, she won’t last with a man who is malicious for the rest of her life. Over time, every mean or hurtful thing that he will do will drive her to the point of exit.

When you are good to a woman regardless of the end result she will never forget you. Isn’t that what you want?  You will be the standard for all of the men in her life that follow. If they can’t compete with you or do better, they float to the bottom. She will remember all the times you were there for her, the surprise you did for her, the fact that you made her feel like a woman even if she was wrong.

Lets summarize this up.

WOMAN ASK yourself how you want to be treated.
MEN- BE THE BEST YOU CAN BE
Communicate, Be a good listener, Ask her how she is feeling, Fight but be fair, Make her feel special, and last but not least RESPECT.

 

 

Apple sets new record with over 4 Million iPhone 6 Preorders. Can it deliver?

The Apple watch may not be out yet however the phone is looking to be quite the item to have. Just announced Monday, Apple AAPL +0.29% reported a record number of preorders for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, over four million devices sold in the first 24 hours, double the number of orders placed in the first day the iPhone 5 came out two years ago.

Analysts predict the phones will be Apple’s best selling yet. They go on sale in stores on September 19! Reports suggest that it is now more difficult to obtain a preorder.

A few ways to brighten up your morning.

Well I will start off with.. Good morning!
The morning is probably no one’s favorite part of the day, especially if you didn’t get as many hours of sleep as you liked! Stress and anxiety together control your emotions and how you view day to day. Begin your day happy and relaxed, and you greatly increase your chances of a healthy, productive day.

1) Eat a breakfast- They say you tend to believe it or not gain more weight if you don’t consume a breakfast. True. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day therefore aim to have a nutrient breakfast to give you the energy to start your busy day.

2) Remind yourself- Read a motivational quote and review your tasks of the day or to-do list. Going through these thoughts will ease out your day and not have you worry or forget these errands later on.

3) Take a quick shower- A shower will wake you up and get you out of that tired phase. It doesn’t have to be long.. just a quick in and out!

4) Set your alarm right- You don’t want to be rushing in the morning. Be realistic and set your alarm earlier to avoid you the unnecessary stress. The 15 minutes of extra sleep isn’t worth it!

5) Appreciate and Smile- Wake up with a smile.. and appreciate yourself and everyone around you!
